The Digital Premium Product team drives the evolution of all digital products including websites, iOS and Android apps, and newsletters across Tamedia’s news brands such as Tages-Anzeiger, Berner Zeitung and Basler Zeitung. We're looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to join the Digital Premium Product team for the next 12 months, with a possibility of extending the contract. In this role, you will place users at the center and turn their needs into clear, well-crafted product experiences that are both intuitive and engaging.

Your responsibilities:

• Active contribution to shaping product thinking from early stages (discovery, ideation, and validation).

• Leveraging UX research (qualitative and quantitative) to inform your design decisions and challenge assumptions.

• Translating user needs into refined design solutions and user flows using wireframes and interactive prototypes that drive engagement, habit formation and perceived value.

• Collaborating remotely with cross-functional teams and work closely with the internal Product Design team, the Head of Product Experience, product managers and engineering teams and create a strong alignment despite distributed setup.

• Keeping the bigger picture in mind, whilst also paying attention to detail, striving for consistency across all applications, using best practices.

• Responsibility for the visual appearance of all our digital products and further develop their design with a focus on intuitive user experience.

• Working comfortably with incomplete brand guidelines and an evolving design system, actively shaping and strengthening both over time.

• Taking full ownership of your work and thriving in a dynamic, results-oriented setting.

• Navigating ambiguity comfortably, as well as working in a transforming organization.

What you bring:

• At least 3 years of experience in Product Design.

• Familiarity with cross-functional ways of working, rapid prototyping and developing solutions.

• Confidence in leverage emerging AI-driven workflows to enhance product development and outcomes.

• Fluency in English and communication with a high level of clarity and precision, ensuring your ideas are always easy to understand, also in a remote setup.

• Ability to prepare and communicate your ideas clearly to different stakeholders in the appropriate format.

• Experience with common tools such as Figma, Figma Make, Google Suite, AI Tools, Adobe Suite, Notion and Slack

• Knowledge of front-end, web and app technologies is a plus.
